FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q: What do I need to do in order to be ready for my new floors?

A: Make sure the floors are clear of debris and ready to be removed. Our teams will do the heavy lifting (couches, desks, tables, beds, etc). If you have a shelf with smaller, breakable items – we ask that you remove those and then our team will move the shelf. 

 

Q: How long will the installation take? 

A: Arrival time to begin installs are from 8-10AM (unless other arrangements have been made by your Lifetime Flooring Rep). While our teams work expeditiously, they will also ensure quality work is completed and that you are satisfied. As a result, we cannot guarantee the length of an installation. For any questions regarding project status or timelines, please reach our to your Lifetime Flooring Rep. 

 

Q: Do I have to be home during the installation? 

A: That is entirely up to you! We’ve had projects where homeowners let our technicians in and come back at the end of the day and we’ve had some where the homeowners are there throughout the entire installation process. Whatever your comfort level is works for us! 

 

Q: What if my subfloor/concrete is not level? 

A: Once our team removes the carpeting or hard surface flooring, the next steps are basically exploratory surgery. We have no way of knowing what is under the floor until it is removed. If leveling or patching is required there will be an additional charge. Leveling charges can be anywhere from $200 up to $5,000 depending on the scope of the project and leveling needed.
